Both. It is quality fur. The gamble here is in the condition of the liner and sweat.

Fedora. Which will be clear when it arrives when you snap down the brim.mayserwegener said:Won this one. Homburg - Fedora? Also a new company to me. It appears to be new old stock from the late 50s. Looking forward to it's arrival.

I'll bet even the seller is scratching his head over this one! And laughing all the way to the bank, as they say. lol
Cheers,

I wish him luck collecting from the 'lucky winner' who discovers his high bid got put to the test.

The bid history on this auction is more hideous than that hat!

Still, who would snipe it for over $316?
Chiliarches said:Too many. I need a grey one particularly. But this was too good to pass up for $23 -
Here are some pictures of the lining and sweatband. I think it is fairly recent, maybe the 60's or 70's--does anyone know? I don't know how to tell - the picture is blurry, but the lining is marked "Qualita Superiore" and "Alessandria." It is a "Baskin" (and came in a Baskin box), which I have read somewhere on the lounge might be a department store. It also says "Torino" on the front of the sweatband.
The sad part is that it's a size too large for me...even though the listing said 7 1/8! It's clearly marked 7 1/4 in the sweatband and fits like it, even with some paper in the sweatband...this was the best headshot I got.
