Don did so many great roles over the years, like Barney Miller, but I will always think of Weekend At Bernie's as my favorite role!

I liked Mr. Calfa in everything I saw him in (which, admittedly, wasn't much), but I'd have to go with Ernie in The Return of the Living Dead as my favorite. The first time I saw it I sat through almost the entire movie thinking, "Where do I know this guy from?" It was about 15 minutes before the movie ended that I realized he played the porn-producing neighbor in 10 (1979).

Van Williams, arguably best known for playing Britt Reid/The Green Hornet on the 1960s television series The Green Hornet, died on November 28 of renal failure in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 82 years old.

I hadn't heard of him in so long I would have guessed he already was. I loved the Green Hornet.

My wife and I have matching Impalas. Hers is white, mine is a midnight grey. I've been threatening to have one of those "turntable" things installed in the garage for a while now.

Uh, the Black Beauty was a Chrysler Imperial, not a Chevy Impala.

I heard about Mr. Glenn's hospitalization yesterday, I think, and had a feeling he wouldn't be leaving the hospital. Considering all of the ways in which his career could have ended his life much sooner, 95 years is a good run.

Adolf Burger, the Slovakian Communist typographer who was forced by his Nazi captors into becoming one of the key members of the Operation Bernhardt counterfeiting operation at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp has died at the age of 99. Burger's story became the basis for the Oscar-winning 2007 film "The Counterfeiters."
