I’m assuming you mean cuffs. Those are not the LA Sportogs cuffs.

late 1940s-50s Ward catalog, far right jacket:

What makes you say Block? To me they look like they could have perhaps been made by Block but I see nothing definitive.

These two were made by Albert Richard, not Block. Those buckles are unique to Albert Richard. That leather label is generic and was used by many makers but Albert Richard was one of them.

Now this guy at least looks like a Block to me, but I still would declare that with 100% certainty

(Not mine) Found these high resolution photos of the same byrd aviator I have on a Japanese website, the only difference being the montgomery ward tag on the bottom.

I cant seem to find the website anymore but I believe it was a size 42 and was a part of their personal archive

Does your jacket’s metal buckles at the side leather strap have the same shape as the dual-label jacket shown above?

There are various different jackets posted at the link below, each with different buckle. There was one with the dual-label too. The bottom 2 with the Windward labels were identified as made by Albert Richard.

Yes, my jacket features the arrow shaped metal clasps.

Hi guys, I bought a 1930's Admiral Byrd jacket in Dark Brown (slightly red patina) size 40 for 900$, do you think I paid too much?

I thought it was so beautiful and vintage, and the fit (I don't have pics I'm not at home) is absolutely perfect on me
