Confused by this Schott (?) Perfecto

Hey y'all. Just came across this forum while trying to figure out what is goin on with this jacket I found recently.

I own a Vintage clothing store that has a focus on menswear, workwear, americana, collectables etc. so I'm no stranger to, and frankly tend to prefer, distressing and a bit of thrash on my personal picks. A pig in mud, ya know?

I grabbed this pretty chewed up Biker jacket for myself. I'm 99% sure its a Schott Perfecto, but all the tags are gone, or unreadable. It has imprints from where the stars on the epaulettes used to be and the leather seems fairly high quality and hydrated considering its life experience before me.
I was going to just turn around and get it relined but I wanted to get it dated first, or approximated atleast. I know that Schotts should have Talon zippers, but this one has Servals, and the liner seems like it was at one point quilted white or beige and i cant seem to find that Schott ever did that... its really stained now, too much for me even haha.

So I'm wondering, is this fake? I didn't spend too much on it, so I wont be heartbroken if it is
or does anyone know roughly how old it is? I'm not putting any stock into the pins on the collar, the guy i bought it from put them there, and he said he got the jacket used.

Thanks for any help, but also for looking. Stoked to have found this forum. As a mens vintage freak I love yabbering about clothes haha

The zipper could have been replaced at some point so I wouldn't put much stock in that. The real issue is that I'm not aware of any Schott made before the 70s that had four lapel snaps. The coin pocket shape also looks wrong for a Schott to my eye. While someone who knows Schott history better than me might correct me, this really doesn't look like any Schott I've ever seen. That doesn't mean it's a "fake though," just a jacket from a different maker. Whatever it is, it's a lovely jacket and if you like it, then it's worth putting work into. Good luck sourcing a new belt though.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yea its really giving me pause... ALL the zippers (except the chain) are Serval, but like you said I do like it all the same!
also funny enough I've always cut and sealed the belts off of my jackets, an old biker once told me he would do that so the people had less to grab if you got in a fight haha...

^^^ ooooo snap that looks almost exactly like it, I’ll check to see if I mine has any ghosting where the tags in that are sewn! Bummer that it’s not a schott, but serves me right for assuming based on the stars on the epaulettes lol

Could you send me the link that you found this from? Thanks!
There's no link, I had these pics saved on my phone.

Here's a link to some background info on the maker.
