Brown Tea Core? Bill Kelso Liberty Horsehide Dodger at 10 months.

Black to Brown wear through is Tea Core as I understand it. I posted pics of my Heron in the Himel thread recently. I am not aware of a corresponding wear through for Brown.

I took delivery of this Bill Kelso Dodger in March of 2015. I already owned a BK Duke in Victory Horsehide. The Dodger is in Liberty Horsehide. I contacted Kelso when the Dodger started showing finish wear on day one. I was told this is the design of Liberty, to achieve a vintage look in little time. I was not aware of this and was offered a full refund. I never been that keen on aging, relicing, but just gave it a try.

The Dodger remains a favorite go to jacket.

That's a LOT of wear through in less than a year, but as it is now I quite like it. Be interesting to see it again in another year.

I have never heard anyone mentioning the Brown core. I have a Liberty HH A2 that wears the same way. So I assume that any Liberty is going to look like this with a little time and wearing. Maybe folks don't wear them much and take longer to get the effect. I have some pics I did with my Eastman Californian which has some distressing, but very different. I will post some.

TM, those jackets look great -- I particularly like the ELMC.

I just complemented AL/SB and BK in the same day. That definitely qualifies me for Sainthood, or at least a medium sized statue in some remote park.

Good looking jacket Dickie. I would love to handle some Victory hide -- BK promised me a sample, but it never materialized. The photos suggest that the hide has a reddish undertone that shows through with wear. Is that accurate?
