My BK A-2 was made with Victory Hide in Antique Russet Victory hide. It certainly appears to have a lighter color underneath.

I'm not sure if you are referring to the wear through? The Victory will not wear through like the Liberty.

That Victory has gotten really expensive!!!

Those are both great jackets.

I suppose... and agree that they are both beautiful. In general, jackets that are designed to wear through eventually hit a point where their owner wants it to just stop right there, and it would be great if a maker offered the ability to seal the finish again at that point. (or someone else could handle it... the product must be commercially available)

You may have come upon the next step! interesting.

I wanted to make sure it was clear to readers the wear through is a process of the Liberty.

The Victory is an amazing leather and now comes at an amazing price.

I posted this thread because I was curious what others thought about the Liberty wear through. I also thought there would be some other Liberty wearers, but none so far.
I look at the BK facebook page and never heard any comments there either.

It is pretty dramatic after 10 months. I posted a few pics of the Eastman because it has some aging process done to it, but they are nothing alike.

Is it too dramatic? Too accelerated? What will it look like in another ten months?

I'm OK with it. Like the Tea Core process, you have a great hand in creating the finish, more so than in most traditional finishes. Last night the Mr. Freedom Campus jacket in the Classifieds. I knew nothing about the Tanning process darkening those jackets until last night. I am intrigued. Another opportunity.

I have no idea how my jacket will age. I bought it used and it was listed as Liberty hide. I thought it was beautiful in the pics and it is even better in real life. I posted some pics and a positive write-up. A few days later, Andy from BK emailed me to tell me it was actually made of Victory hide in antique russet. The antiquing is very nicely done.

Yes, I remember when you first posted that jacket. Incredible nice. I have the Duke, which I found out is Dark Seal. I have, what I think is, another Victory jacket in the mail. I've worn mine a good deal when I first got it. Today I put it on and it pretty flashy, just not use to wearing it. Does your jacket smell really Sweet or just plain smell really good? there is no finish wear on mine. looks about the same which was good to begin with. Two hugely different leathers.

Yeah there's quite a bit red popping now, hope the jacket doesn't end up red.

I wear a 42/44 in case you need to part ways. I don't think the Wingman was a model when I got my Dodger or I just had not seen pictures. No, the Dodger was part of some special and the Wingman wasn't on the list. I've looked for a second hand Wingman but doubt I will see one around.
