Posted this one in the Italian Brands Thread, but it belongs here as well. Barbisio in dark brown, size 58, 5,5 cm brim, 10,5 cm crown at the pinch. Very nice thin felt. Not the best looking liner I have ever seen but clean. Speaking of clean: a bit of a factory workers joke on the label maybe, because it reads "Urbino ben rasato", which as far as internet translators are to be trusted means as much as "Urbino clean shaven". My guess is seventies.

so asking for help with the hat is kinda hard, but thanks anyway.

I can't tell you much about this hat. It appears to be a Barbisio of relatively modern vintage (1970s+) blocked to a Tyrolean style with deep brim scoop, made in Italy for export to the U.S. and sold at Schlesinger's. I do not know this store but suspect it has origins in Schlesinger and Mayer, a Chicago based store originally located in Louis Sullivan's historic building, later home to Carson Pirie Scott. You might also post the link in the Italian Brand Hats thread where more knowledgable members might tell you more.

I would suggest that the hat is priced too high.

Posted this one in the Italian brands thread, but it's a Barbisio, so it deserves a place here too. Barbisio Ratiné in a natural colour. Overwelt triple stitched edge at 5,3 cm and crown at 10cm and contrasting ribbon. Qualita extra extra. Ratiné is a term used for woollen fabric with a rough nap, which is what this hat basically is: a woollen hat with a rough nap. Very soft felt though with a nice shape. When woolfelt hats are this nice, who can argue? A bit of an odd thing is that there seems to be an extra layer of cloth (almost feels like a folded grosgrain ribbon) between the felt and the sweatband (see last photo).
