Agreed- the short length makes me think it could look very cool, but it is a risk as very much a style I am not used toVery german design, but as a German, I love it.

It's working for me - https://www.elmc.co/358-jacketsI haven’t looked at the ELMC website in forever and now it’s not loading. Did I miss that they folded or is it just an IT thing?

Haha not a bad way to save some money, just block ALL the leather jacket makers/stores and whatnot xDThat’s weird - it still won’t load for me. Oh well, probably saving me money hahah
So, I’m not a boot guy, but I understand bespoke.
I saw a post in the classifieds today that brought something interesting to my attention.
This bespoke boot maker with a 4.5 year waitlist - $2.6k for a pair, 100% due when you order, no refunds. If you change your mind your options are 1.) oh well or 2.) get someone to buy your spot.
I find this fascinating for a number of reasons.
1.) The most I would be willing to pay up front would be 50% to cover cost. The guy orders materials once a year in January, so maybe I would do 50% on order, remainder due 30 days prior to when the yearly order has to be made.
2.) I can’t imagine I would be willing to wait 4.5 years for any physical object. If I can live without it that long, I don’t need it.
3.) With a 4.5 year waitlist wouldn’t you almost be hoping people would back out?
4.) What if the guy gets eaten by a shark?
5.) What if a piano lands on my head?
6.) If you have a 4.5 year waitlist, supply and demand dictates you should raise your prices, does it not?
7.) inflation. Does the guy just take the hit on his profit margin when materials cost goes up 30% between customer order and when the yearly materials order is placed?
