Thanks gtdean48! Nice collection sounds like.

Interesting idea. I love the telescope bash. I might have to give that a try at some point.

I believe I mentiond this already in another thread so forgive my duplicity but the telescope bash gives the Camp Draft a bit of a "plantation/gamblers" type feel that works nicely in Bluegrass Green with the larger brim.

Given the feelings of uncertainty and helplessness that this evokes....

I found the following advice online...

1. Find a healthy outlet for maintaining your physical and psychological well-being.

2. Hold onto even the smallest semblance of normality.

3. Do enjoyable activities, even if it’s for the sake of other family members.

4. Allow yourself a good cry.

5. Pray.

Any of you wise folks have any additional advice for coping with the wait?

I'm in the same boat waiting for my D'Acquino hat to clear through ISC NYC, and have yet to receive any notice on my EA order. MY suggestion is to keep buying hats in the States until they release yours from customs.

I've bought three more hats in three days while waiting for my BGCD. I'm not coping well.

My BGCD came yesterday. Boy, this is a LOT of hat (or so it feels to me). I may need some encouragement here. It's the same size as my 80's OR, but maybe the dark color makes the size more noticable to me. I'm not happy quite yet with the bash yet, so there's more work to do. Suggestions? I can see why the smaller brim custom CD done for loungers a while back ended up quite popular. I think it's the brim I'm adjusting to.

I would add that the felt is softer and much less stiff than I was expecting. Steam doesn't seem to "penetrate" it like it does with my other hats. It feels like you could dry shape it just as well.

Looks great to me, I personally wouldn't want a smaller brim. Very fedora, not cowboy.

I have two Bluegrass CDs in different configurations, they were identical when they arrived. I was going to trim down the brim on one, assumed I had to, I wanted to do a fedora, and looking at the first I was wearing with the tall crown the brim seemed too large for what I was going for. After I did a teardrop crease on the second, though, it looked "right", and when I checked the actual brim measurement it matched what I was going for. The difference in crown height made all the difference in character.

I'd definitely give it time before doing anything drastic- it looks "right" to me, and looks like it suits you well, it might just be that you got used to less hat than you really need. ;)
