Akubra Traveller double review

I have purchased two Akubra Traveller one in Khaki and one in Sand. I have used Akubras in the bush to start campfires, water animals, hold plant specimens, protect my head while spelunking, canoeing, and hiking in thick rainforest, and archaeological excavations ect currently with my Sombrero being the preferred hat. I liked the description “Featuring a pliable felt structure, this hat adapts to the movements of the adventurous spirit, bouncing back from wear and tear with ease.” As I don’t want to reck my Sombrero or Federation Iv. I thought these could fill the role and take a little crush here and there. I got one band new and it has been nice but fir felt feels lighter and different to other Akubra. The second was second hand and well worn and lighter weight. Both have handled Admirably. I like the simple pinch and teardrop shape and brim length preventing sunburn. The stitched wire brim seems fine. Having a non leather sweatband is good for heavy rain and to crush in bag on a plane. How have others found the Akubra traveler?

A Traveler was my first Akubra, and has served me well traveling (LOL) It is a hat that I can feel better about wearing in a potentially damaging environment — say on a plane for a flight to Japan

Definitely not as nice as my Fed IV Deluxe, but then again not intended to be
