I do have a limit... I think.
That is true! I do like the heavy stuff, should get a Lost Worlds at some point.
Well... Lost World's mostly 4oz so I think with that steer, you got 'em beat. I'm tellin' you man, vintage Bates.
Hmmm...I just put my vintage Bates Cafe Racer up for sale. Now you got me rethinking that...I probably will regret not keeping it. Dang it!I guess so! Still want one for collecting purposes, though. Already got your Bates? And check your inbox, man !
I may go for FQHH or mid-weight jerky seal HH.
In terms of the best material for sleeves - Aero seems to suggets cotton drill.
Should I opt for sateen?
Edward, I think the grabby cotton lining is a thing of the past. I had that and didn't like it, but they've gone for smoother cotton now and your arms slide in easily. I wouldn't do satin.
I have corduroy sleeve lining in my Highwayman-- it's the bomb. It's thick, feels very luxurious and is plain nice. So soft and looks gorgeous. I reckon it's probably not for everybody, though. Combined with Aero's steerhide makes for very thick, stiff sleeves.
Cotton drill it is for sleeves - thank you.
