I've not seen this hide in particular. My HWM and an Aero MC I've laso owned are made of a steer which I don't think is the CXL stuff - that's much heftier, siff as FQHH when new. These are the same thickness as the FQHH, but much more supple from the get go - yet still substantial ,not the cheapo stuff lesser manufacturers trumpetv as "buttery soft!" Mine is smooth, though. No grain....
I love it when you see 'buttery soft' used as a recommendation for a biker jacket...

Hi Draxxer,Thanks for sharing these pics!! It's great to finally see a pic of this leather as a completed jacket. I can't tell you how long I've spent trying to visualize how the sample of this leather would look as a jcket. I do have some follow-up questions...sorry for so many!
Thanks again!
- In the comparison pics, is the bomber Vicenza and the one with the buckle FQHH?
- If the bomber is indeed Vicenza, it looks better than I've seen it (at least, the pics of brand new Vicenza jackets that Thurston posts). It looks more matte and also less pebbly than those other pics, which are both pluses in my book.
- Aesthetically, I think the soft black Italian horsehide looks awesome. However, do you think it's too "fragile" for a jacket, in that it might stretch or tear easily? I wouldn't be using this for riding at all. With the sample of it that I have, I'm concerned because I can very easily stretch it out and it doesn't really return to its original shape.
- How does it compare to Vicenza in terms of lightness, thinness, and drape?
If you are indecisive, you are a perfect fit on this forum. Thanks Craig......I'm quite naturally indecisive....

Testify!!It gets easier over time/acquisitions/flips. Not a lot easier mind you, but a lil. Which is indeed whey "we" are here...
Sure, here are the pics I received from Carrie. Based on the file names, this appears to be a ladies jacket, which is perhaps why this specific leather isn't known around here.
