[Forgive me if this lacks the proper terminology - I am a self-taught Scotch lover and I don't always use the proper terms. Hopefully the point is clear anyway. :o ]
If I remember correctly, Lagavulin was made specifically to somewhat mimic the notes of Laphroaig, and to some extent I'm sure...
lol
I saw these yesterday and sent the article, in jest, to a friend of mine who is of the sweatpants-out-to-coffee ilk. She responded that she would buy them just to embarrass me in public, but they don't go big enough. :eusa_doh:
Today on campus, I watched as a male student opened a door for a female student. She gave him an absolutely filthy look and said, "Are you getting the door for me because I'm a lady?" The last word was positively dripping with sarcasm.
Not missing a beat, he replied, "No. I'm getting the...
PsychoSue, that hairstyle is so cute on you! I tried something like that once, and it was not successful, but on you it looks fabulous. The way you pulled it back at the back compliments the Betty Grable bangs perfectly.
And Inky, I just have to say, you always just look fantastic. I think...
Get Your Man. It was pretty cute; I think Clara Bow was underrated as an actress in her time. Seeing how good she was in pretty unexceptional material makes me wish she'd ever got a chance at better films.
Buddy Rogers was very handsome, too. :o
I just wish I could figure out what the hell I want to do with my hair. I think I should shave my head and use wigs. I had basically a middy for ages, but the thing is, even though I would set my hair every other night, I just hated that I had a haircut that made ever having straight hair...
My default non-red shade is purplish or burgundy. I like MAC's "Dark Side," "Rebel," and "Media."
I've never particularly cared for most pink shades on me, and corals or anything with too much orange is very unflattering with my skin...
On no-lipstick days, I favour a swipe of Carmex...
That Wasserwellen thing is so cool! When I see stuff like this, I just wish there were someone with the money and means to recreate some of these vintage tools. Considering that there are photo studios devoted entirely to vintage style pin-up shoots and modern books on vintage hairstyling, I...
I just have to say, I am awed by all the gorgeous sets in this thread. It gives me hope! :o
I just cut my hair into a bob and am trying to master the pin curled wave. Suffice to say it is not going well, but at least I have a cut now where if the set comes out awful, I can jump in the...
Thank you all so much for your comments! I went in to my hairdresser's and she was able to cut a bit of a curve to it. :) So now I just put a little bit of hair wax in the tip and roll it between my fingers, silent-movie villain style. lol
Works a treat! I think I might buy some of that...
-Sigh- Lolita, your hair is always just incredible. I read your blog and moan in envy every time you do one of your hair posts. You're so talented and lovely!
So I'm sure this information is here somewhere on the forum (oh god, or maybe I am so clueless that I really am the only person here who's ever had this problem  ), but I have searched to no avail. I got a 1920s-style bob last week and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the...
