Well, I finally saved enough pennies to get my latest suit tailored. Its not a true vintage suit, just a knockoff, but it fits the part rather nicely. Its comfortable, and wears well. Here is a picture:
I used to do civil war re-enacting when I was much younger. The funny part is that at 17 I was probably the most authentic person in the unit, yet I got a lot of drision because of my age. I would like to pick up re-enactment at some point in the future when I have more funds.
Very nice, I like it quite a bit. You are a master of the curled hand pose, like you used to be military at one point, thats one habit you never get out of.
120 Euros for shoes, my goodness, I long for the days when I graduate from school and can afford to spend money like that.
I can't...
My grandfather was in the merchant marine and was a mate on those transports back and forth in the atlantic. He always sailed on oil vessels, a lovely exploding target. I have his uniforms, his papers, and some pictures of his!
I did in fact get some carter hall to bein with. We'll see how I like it. The pipe came off a certain forbidden website, its nothing special because I am rather short of cash, as long as it works I will be satisfied.

Best: Usually just smiles or kind gestures from older people.
Worst: I get Amish or menonite all the time. I wear a black Homburg with a heavy black wool overcoat and I have a long goatee which is now bordering on a narrow beard. Thus, the amish comments.
So it is, you know, I never bothered to double check on my own. Not that it matters so much to me, the condition is more important than the actual rank. I will be interested to see what its like when it arrives. Good catch! I am not at all heartbroken, heh!
I remain sincerely,
Benny K.
