I just hope that the screen writers don't botch up the story too badly. From the visuals in the trailer, I'm interested to see how the story will play out.

They finally opened it and it isn't half bad. Go figure. If I remember correctly this is the wreck that they found the beer on as well.
Cheers!

Here is a film that should interest some. "Nordwand", a German production about the first "serious" try of the north face of the Eiger in 1936. Of course it is a foreign language film and it is subtitle in English on the DVD.
I stumbled across this one recently and I was wondering if anyone...
This one just popped up on my Radar today, The Warrior's Way. Geoffrey Rush in an Western/Asian action flick. Looks like a fun popcorn film with all the impossibilities coming to life.

Hello folks,
It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that my Father, Valentino Joseph Ruisi, had passed away yesterday morning. The world is much poorer for the loss. I have and will always love my hero & I shall miss him.
He was Born February 6, 1929 and passed this day, September 30...

I am genuinely interested in this period piece. Although it is a drama it has some nice natural comedy moments to it. The Cast of Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth & Helena Bonham Carter looks like it...

Death Hunt has got to be one of my favorite Lee Marvin Charles Bronson films ever. It has a lot of classic clothing guns and aircraft. My favorite part is when Bronson character, Albert Johnson, is holed up in the cabin, he has the floor dug out to be lower & thus avoids getting shot up. After...
I hope that our U.K. brothers & sisters here at the Lounge weren't near there or on the receiving end of this. I feel bad for the poor souls that were involved in this.

Hopefully I am putting this in the right section for this. My Wife's is doing this as a part of the Livestrong Action. The message explains most of it. If you folks can contribute & add to her cheers & move her up in the standing we may get closer to the funding to help finding a cure for...
This was mentioned in a hat thread, & it's has been a long time since I've actually seen this one. Enjoyed it as a kid. I may have to pick up the DVD. Good family film, even in this day & age. Who else enjoyed this one as a kid?
Cheers!

This week is the birth week of Maurice Tarplin, novelist & radio actor, although he is better known for the acting part. His best known role was as the narrator of The Mysterious Traveler, employing a voice once described as "eerily sardonic." He was also known for the voice as Dr. Weird on 'The...
Another 50's era hero has passed on today. :(

Robert B. Parker wrote the books that became the Spencer for Hire series on TV & the movie Appaloosa. For those fans of Spencer for Hire it is a sad curtain fall.

I've only heard about this one on Radio Classics on XM164, I haven't seen or heard it advertised anywhere else.

Disney has been pretty busy lately. I've been waiting a long time for this one. I'm surprised & a bit pleased that they are showing Jeff Bridges character as a villain. Well...
Hey Gang!
I'm sure that many of you here have watched 'Seven Years in Tibet' with Brad Pitt. I've been on the lookout for a very similar jacket that he wore at the end of the film. It is a green wool, I think loden wool, sort of styled after a hunting jacket or jaeger with wide lapels & collar...
