    Bib overalls and suit jackets

I'm thinking the tie doesn't look right. Just a plain white shirt, buttoned to the neck is the way to go. Now maybe a bowtie would work.....hmnnnn......?

    Bib overalls and suit jackets

Great thread. I feel like I'm coming out of the closet or something by admiting it though lol I've always liked the look (never attempted it), but was always wondered if I was crazy or what. The overalls need to be worn with a shirt always always buttoned at the collar, otherwise it doesn't...

    Revolutionary War Films?

I loved the recent HBO series John Adams. Wish they would do a similar piece on Washington, especially his earlier years before he was president.

Dang Fletch, you're quite the philosopher. And BTW, you hit the nail on the head.

    Revolutionary War Films?

Thank you for such a thoughtful reply!:eusa_clap I too find it odd that more attention is paid to American Civil War films than to Revolutionary War pictures....

    War Chest?

Don't know the exact name for it, but does anyone know where I can buy a War Chest? I'm thinking of the kind Clint Eastwood stored his firearms in as portrayed in the movie Grand Torino. Can be about the same size or a little smaller.

    Revolutionary War Films?

So I just watched Mel Gibson's "The Patriot" for the third time and really enjoyed it. Does anyone know of other films taking place in this era? Doesn't have to be exact, just roughly that time frame. Also really enjoyed Last of the Mohicans. Thanks!

    Customer Service

That is remarkable. Are you sure they didn't just ship you a new computer? With customer service I've always found that happiness comes from low expectations lol

What would your name be? (Gents too!)

I've always been partial to the name Virgil. If I have a son I'd like to name him something old fashioned, like Wyatt or Huckleberry.

    Formalizing/Small Pleasures?

I'm not sure where or from whom I heard it, but there's a saying that you should use the "good" china every day. That pretty much sums up my philosophy of small pleasures...

Spare a dime for a famous millionaire actor?

I stopped giving money to panhandlers when I lived in San Francisco and saw a homeless guy with a cell phone. I still give money, but now I give to charities themselves.

Spare a dime for a famous millionaire actor?

Great story about Sir Ian McKellen being mistaken for a panhandler: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/australia/7705972/Sir-Ian-McKellen-mistaken-for-tramp-outside-theatre.html As a rule I don't give out money to panhandlers, but if I saw anyone with a bowler...

    The Clothes Brush

So I read the other day that using a clothing brush on one's suits can increase the lifetime of a suit by a few years. 1. Is this true? 2. What is a good, quality brand for not too much money? 3. Advice on technique?

BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) - Everything you wanted to bootleg about the Show!

I noticed that as well, what's up with that? I loved Deadwood and Carnivale and both were canceled because the productions were just too expensive. Doesn't HBO employ accountants?

    Facebook anybody?

I've used it sporadically, mainly using it to reconnect with old friends from "back in the day". If I want to connect with someone though I just email directly or pick up the phone... BTW, saw this article about how many people are deactivating or deleting their accounts completely due to...

Piano Song from Tough Guys movie.

There's an App for that! I used my iPhone app Shazam and that's what came up. So far it's never been wrong. Maybe a different key or tempo? The old lady playing it in the clip was pretty bad....
