    Downton Abbey - I'm hooked

Just finished season one last night. I stretched it out as long as I could so I won't have too long to wait for season two to come out on DVD.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Cumberpatch is playing the part of the dragon Smaug in The Hobbit, so you probably won't recognize him under all the CGI.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Cumberpatch's reason why he didn't want the role is pretty funny: "I think it's a fantastic show, but the celebrity side of being the Doctor would worry me. The idea of turning up at school prizegiving days as the Doctor wouldn't appeal."

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

P.S. Just found this link, it appears Sherlock has already been picked up for a third season: http://www.cinemablend.com/television/BBC-Sherlock-Return-Series-3-38659.html Just after the finale aired in the U.K. (those of us in North America are still anxiously awaiting the premiere of the...

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

I think you'll find that Benidict Cumberpatch is among the best (if not the best) portrayals of Holmes. As Cumberpatch has said, he plays Holmes as a "high-functioning sociopath" with slight Asperger's Syndrome tendencies, which I think fit the character very well.

I agree, but anyone who's read the story already knows anyway.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Just finished watching the final episode. Wow. I can't remember the last time a television episode had me on the edge of my seat like that one. Wow.

    "Sherlock" BBC series.

Welcome Emily! I agree, there are few programmes on tv that stimulate the brain. You might enjoy another series, an American show, called "Numb3rs" with a mathematician as the hero.

    Men who can cook.

I think if you can associate the idea of cooking with something boys are already attracted to, namely the idea of hunting, fishing, camping, etc, then cooking will be a natural extension of what they already love and will be much easier. I've used this cookbook for years, and it's a lot of fun...

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo-An Unnecessary Remake?

I agree. U.S. movie goers just won't pay to "read" a movie. I've seen both versions and actually thought the U.S. version was slightly better, probably because certain characters like Lisbeth received more attention, and the cinematography was just delicious.

Let me be the first to say that tonight's episode of Sherlock, The Hounds of Baskerville, was bloody brilliant!! BTW, since Americans say "cell phone" what is the term people in the UK use?

    Sources for Bespoke Luggage

Okay, I did a search and got the phonebook, so apologies if this has been covered, but I wasn't able to find this topic. I have an idea for a weekend bag that I saw once in a movie. There are many many different versions of a weekend bag, but so far I have had no luck finding the exact bag I...
