    Western Hat from Gangster Squad

I think that's a good guess. Glad it might be a Stetson and not a Akubra.

    Western Hat from Gangster Squad

Does anyone know what kind of hat was worn by Robert Patrick in Gangster Squad? It has a western feel to it, but I wouldn't call it a Cowboy hat. Maybe Australian?

    Jaxonbilt Hats

I'll get back to you with the measurements. I like the 50X just fine, both are holding up with no issues. I say order the 50X and once you have your head shape and fit figured out you can upgrade if you want, but the 50X is great quality and value for the money.

    Officer Pinks

Yes, thanks. I found that link. They look to be roughly the same price, so I'll be calling them tomorrow. Thanks again!

    Officer Pinks

Thanks! Eastman isn't in the USA, but they sure do look very well made and probably the way to go. Thanks again!

    Officer Pinks

Thanks, for the link. WPG looks like the most historically accurate. I wonder why it's so hard to find a decent pair? Seems like they'd be more popular in the states.

    Officer Pinks

Anyone know of a good U.S. source for ready to wear officer pinks? I'm thinking the same style as worn by Indiana Jones in Raiders.

    LAWLESS {Formerly The Wettest County}

Saw it today. For some reason it started here yesterday, Wednesday. Excellent. VERY violent, but great hats and period costumes. Really a must see for Loungers.

Vendor Problems: Could use some advice

Thanks guys. It wasn't just the brim, I should have mentioned that. I also asked for the crown to be reblocked. The crown indentations seem to be off as well, so the whole thing just looks crooked. The crown, the brim, it all looks like I fell asleep on the train with my head against the window...

Vendor Problems: Could use some advice

So I recently sent one of my more expensive hats (approx. $500) back to the original vendor to reshape the brim just bit. I don't care for reshaping the brim myself with the ol' tea kettle in the kitchen method, I prefer an experienced vendor to do it with the proper machine and plenty of steam...

    Stainless Steel Watches

The reason I originally asked the question (and which I should have mentioned) was that after a certain period of use, the cheaper watches just start looking....cheap (scratched, dull appearance), while the more expensive brands like Rolex seem to hold up better. When I asked about polishing I...

    Stainless Steel Watches

I called Citizen and found out they use 316L. Can this stainless steel be polished?

    Stainless Steel Watches

Gotta love the Lounge, always a knowledgable answer somewhere! Thanks Eric!

    Stainless Steel Watches

I was curious if anyone could be able to answer a question for me: Are all stainless steel metals created equal? For instance, I'm wondering if the stainless metal on a Citizen watch band would wear the same or more quickly than, say, a Rolex watch band. I'm not talking about the quality of...

    Star Trek 2.

Yes, I thought Karl Urban was great also.

    Star Trek 2.

Personally I was very happy that the last one scrapped the timeline that had been built up over the years, and the accompanying quibbling. It had become too calcified. We're starting with a fresh cast, fresh stories, and new a direction.

    Hatfields & McCoys

I caught the encore presentation of the first installment last night, and I gotta say I was pretty offended by The History Channel. Going into a made for tv movie, one expects all the commercials, and the one I watched last night had a commercial break about every ten minutes. What really...
