Kenny Roberts colors on that yellow and black Bates.
White is an awesome color for a stage jacket. I can see Brian Setzer with a white moto jacket.
In real life? Looks good in a photo, but I've only had part white jackets, one was a Vanson one piece racing suit. Living in SoCal, that was...
I've owned two goat Lost World Raiders in the seal black color finish.
Leather is supple and looks great, though it has less figure than horse.
I owned one I bought new a dozen years ago, then another older one (?) I traded the former for.
The 12 year old one was very supple, not a lot of...
Fascinating, as I've not thought about it that much. I have a Lost Worlds Easy Ryder, which I am guessing has gussets, and it is supremely comfortable to move around in, both on and off of a bike.
However, I love the design of the Aero Teamster and am inching closer to ordering one and one of...
Well I wish I had known of this forum when I was buying all the jackets that were actually too big for me. I didn't really know very much (read almost nothing) about quality hh jackets. They were comfortable and that was that. I value feedback and would want to hear about any potential...
Wow, haven't seen the movie but that's terrible looking piece of clothing! Of course, we're seeing it isolated from the action. Maybe it was made that way to look good on camera?
Nice man, those are really striking looking lace ups!
Is the boot relatively pliable or stiff? Is that a walking or riding boot, or both???
Damn, one more thing I might need!
Wow, some of those are extreme temps!
The coldest I've ever felt was on a motorcycle in the snow in the mountains during a California winter moto camping trip to Anza Borrego. Damn, visibility was dicey too. We warmed up at a glider airport that had a stove. Those people were nice to let us...
Well thanks for showing those. I am especially curious about the Suburban, it's on my hit list!
I am a confirmed Lost Worlds fanatic, so it's great to see these. Interesting that one of them needed some conditioning, none of mine (currently three) ever seem to have needed anything. Stuart is...
Yes, I have found that Stuart picks the correct size for me every time.
bunyip, some of his jackets have a trimmer cut, those are the ones that can be troublesome in the shoulders area.
His descriptions will tell you which ones those are.
Ryder for example is trim. The Easy Ryder not so much.
It was the 60's, I enjoyed all of it because I was young and didn't know much of anything. And that movie was a part of the 60's.
Like the 60's, The movie was good and bad. It has to be seen in that light.
The jacket? Cool but I would not wear one.
Give me Lost Worlds style of solid quality...
Well when you do wear one for 10 years, you know you've got a good one! I had an Easy Ryder for over ten years, wore it on all long distance rides. I recently gave it up because it was a little too large, its' replacement is the same model in a smaller size. Although it's almost as old, it...
Funny. Sloan, I can see how that could be said....Stuart might even agree with you! Although I don't know about the car reference part....he might prefer something less "commie" or "metro", ha ha.
Thanks Monitor. I've actually had this coat for a while but hardly wore it when I lived in southern California. Now that I am in the bay area it's getting some break in time. It's actually way more comfortable to wear than the 4.0 oz model Downtown I had before.
Now I'll actually have to...
Chigger, I have an Easy Ryder to ride in. I can't imagine riding a motorcycle with this car coat by choice. If it was raining and freezing and it was the only coat I had, then yes. Otherwise I can't see how buttons would work unless is a double breasted model with a double row of buttons, and...
Awesome jacket, the pics really show it off.
Super, you can have him make the jacket with 3.0 oz leather. I did that with a russet Downtown I bought from him. I've posted it on a thread.
It is much lighter than jackets of his that I have (and have had) in 4.0 oz and the leather is much more...
