I believe aero and Thurston. I have been talking to Carrie about the Teamster and that's another one. I'm a 42 in everything, but she recommended that I get a 40 for my 5'10" 180 lb frame.
She said same for a couple other of the Aero jackets.
Ok got it now.
Horween mustang hh, looks fantastic.
What does Bootlegger STF mean?
The Bootlegger I think is one of those they recommend going down a size on?
Like ButteMT61, I think it's crazy this is still for sale. Great deal for somebody.
This is one of the jackets that Stuart makes in the traditional, tight period fit and is the first jacket I bought from Stuart, coincidentally in this very size.
Although 42 is my size and I have and have had...
Another person who thinks zips belong only on moto jacket pockets.
I've heard somebody reference filing down the zips. Is this really an option?
I would like to do it on my LW Easy Ryder. It has brass zips so I am guessing I won't destroy any coatings. Just file down the edges a little...
Ask my wife, I develop buyer's remorse on a lot of expensive things . Usually I'll get over it. Even some of my Lost Worlds jackets have had some flaws. But very minor ones. Usually it is the fit that is going to bother me the most and make me pass a jacket on. I have never had nor seen an...
Thanks all.
It is my impression that Stuart will do the lighter weight for any of his jackets upon request, though I did not specifically ask that question.
Cheers,
Bernie
Hi all,
Here is my new LW Downtown. Finally in the correct size. For this one, Stuart gave me the option of a lighter 3.0 oz horsehide and I took it. I live in coastal California and this is mostly a raincoat and windbreaker, more than a cold weather jacket. It is still heavy but...
hmm, reminds me of guitar forums where debates rage about whether such and such is a real '59 or a really good example of something purported to be one....
In this instance, please accept that I know nothing about Bucos or this particular jacket, just an observation.
For me, belt and shoes have to match. For the rest, including the jacket, not that much thought goes into it. Sometimes a quick glance in the mirror to double check, but otherwise I don't mind black with brown. My wife prefers my black jackets but I personally don't want only black stuff, too...
Wow, nice jackets all!
I was wondering if I had too many jackets, now I'm not so concerned.
Like many of my collections, the count is stabilizing around the number of days in a week.
They are in two different locations....I will try to post a couple of pics.
Fanch, nice look and nice length on that. Looks like mid pocket length or at least covering the tops of the pockets in front.
I might go just a bit longer....
My chest is 41-42 and waist 35-36
I hear you on the getting in the car with heavy horsehide. I don't mind, as long as the jacket...
Ok wdw, that is very helpful, 40 is going to be the correct size for me after all.
And I did surmise that your 3 copies were sequential but still. Mine are too, though having bought it's replacement, my size 44 Easy Rider is still here but looking for a new home in the Classified section...
Thanks Fanch but no umbrella unless I'm holding it for a lady, then my a** is getting wet anyway. I prefer hands free with a hat.
Sockeye it must be cold where you live and that two tone is an adventure!
Wdw I will take your advice and mock up the various lengths. Three copies of this...
