Trying on light brown Cricketeer today.
Rag and Bone, looks cool.
Blood, nice snag. I've found most of my suits, coats, hats at thrift shops. Poppin' tags!
Did a little window and grocery shopping w the wife. We found a cool pinky ring that I may have to save my pennies for. I think gold w black onyx mens rings look good.
Sir, that is one smart hat. That liner alone gets a Gold Medal from me.
It looks like fate smiled upon you with the fit, so wear it well. Either shape looks great.
Cookie, yes. It seems very well built, similar to the tweed sport coat I have of the same maker. The pants got dropped off yesterday to the tailor and I just got the call from her that they're done already. Usually it is a two week wait. She must know I'm itchin' to wear that suit.
Eric, very Nordic in that sweater w snow covered evergreens in the back...you are definitely NOT hated here.
Alan, that's one big sod-buster.
AnA, make yourself at home!
Nice to see so many straws lately.
No homburg yet but thanks for the comment. We were looking online one night and commenting on various suits but I didn't think she would get one. It is probably '70s and from the end of a time when there were a lot of good suits being made. I think Cricketeer...
On the hat thread I frequent, I said that my wife was acting strangely and I though she may have purchased me something like a hat.
Well, well. I was right about the behavior--wrong about the hommy. But It will go well with any of my brown fedoras.

She set up a trail of clues throughout the house to find...dah, dah, dah...a VINTAGE, CRICKETEER, PRINCE OF WALES CHECK SUIT (I hope that's right).
Light brown with light blue...
I always mean it when I say, Nice hats all.
The Standouts are:
Manfred, cool cap.
Alan, nice looking Stetson!
Bowler, you look great.
Jared, that picture looks so good it must be Photoshopped.
David, nice shades (and hat)
Josh, that western w/plaid shirt is great.
I wore a stocking hat to push...
Some old posts I copied and pasted from the thread, 1946: Stetson Acquires Mallory... but then what? ...this is an internet search. I didn't copy these from the FL threads directly so I'm not sure if this one is still on the list.
Pics of your hat, outside, inside liner, sweatband and logos on...
Ofcoursemyhorse: Love the shape of the Royal Stetson. I wouldn't have thought of big side dents that go that far back on the crown in a homburg like that, but it looks cool.
A few weeks ago, I asked a local western store attendant if he was getting any smaller brimmed straws or Open Road straws in and he said they would not be getting any this year...too bad.
Che, Stunning photos as usual.
Manfred, that Borso Homburg would be my last purchase if I found one that looked that good on me.
Alan, the concert B&Ws were cool.
Enjoyed reading everyone's posts from the last day or two.
We went to an auction but the antiques were more like a junk sale. We ate...
I used to design ads for a living and I love old ads like these. I have now switched to a landscaping job so I could use some good work clothes like that! The big shouldered men in the ads remind me of the big guys in my family.
Nice hats today, all. I can see why you're stickin' w/that one,
Bowler.
Justin... attitude to match the lid.
(HatsRme)Cool look and nice glasses w/those "Chiefs." I used to have some army surplus glasses w/wrap-around ears. I thought they must've been "Top Guns" so you know I was cool as...
Sometimes I flip the sweatband out to see any clues underneath...be careful though--my Walton's sweat was fragile and the old cracks got worse. It was retailed at $9 so I figured it was older than it looked.
Love the shape and classic color scheme. Could very well be vintage '60s but really...
