Weren't Morgans Japanese? Nice enough jacket, but the one in the pic, the leather looks flat and lifeless. Even my Cockpit Government issue A-2 has more character than this.
After over two dozen horsehide A-2 repops, I have found consistently the sleeves shortened by 0.5 to 1" after some wear. A number of these has std sleeve length to begin with, which is why I now order my jackets with a bit of added length. After wear these A-2s fit beautifully.
I have found this...
100% agree
After years of buying and wearing A-2s, owning from almost everyone, GW, BK,ELC, AERO, Platon's, LW and many others... plus owning one original WW2 A-2.... Have to say that Platon's Dubow above is a no-brainer.
For the price its the best deal out there for a high-end...
Bill Kelso Dubow 27798 size 42 Long F/S - New with tags.
The jacket was received just before Xmas and was only tried on for fit and photos. Still retains tags, certificates and packaging.
Seal Liberty horsehide is a gorgeous chocolatey mid brown, with lots of grain and character. Olive drab...
BK Dubow 27789 (size 42 long) today.
This one above is a smidgen longer than the one below, received a couple of months ago. Both Seal Liberty. Both 42 long.
This one below will go for sale soon.
EDIT: Now in the Classifieds!
Diecast WW2 airplanes. Have a nice highly detailed Matchbox Collectibles collection. Hobby Master, Gemini Aces and Corgi to name a few.
Also some rare Sc-fi collectibles... display models etc.
I wear AO Aviators, Rayban Caravans and have a pair of Oakleys.
(btw if anyone wants a pair of Rayban Caravans, new with box, please let me know. I have a spare pair. Looking for circa £50)
I'm one of those passionate guys... But honestly, if you are a 38 or 40, get one of Platon's Dubows. I wear a 40 long ELC and GW, a 42 original and funny enough... a 42 in Platon's Dubow and BK's A-2s (Dubow and Roughwear). My Dubow from Platon sits side-by-side with any GW I have owned.
Many good points and thoughts, and after owning A-2s from everyone, incl a WW2 original and 3 GWs... (Well, almost everyone... except the Japanese makers, although handled and tried on many times. No thanks).
As far as top tier A-2s... GW, ELC, BK and Platon all sit side-by-side on top rung of...
WPG for an A-2.... Please no. No offence.
Platon's Dubow, if it fits, is hands-down the best A-2 jacket buy on the planet. Not sure about getting any VAT back though.
Do check out Headwind. They have a number of A-2 offerings slated for 2020, a couple original maker and one budget. I am certain...
Its been almost a month since I received this jacket back. I have tried to iron the CREASE out, but its still there. As for the PIN HOLES, the cotton twill is too tightly woven for one to fix these. They will REMAIN forever, and the value of this jacket has fallen flat! One can clearly see the...
I am your height, 39.5" chest and 160lbs approx. I have had a few Cockpit G-1s, a couple of originals and high end repros etc.
Cockpit's 100 Mission G-1 is great jacket, look for one in a sale and you score. There are a number of online vendors who offer them on sale and price match.
I would not...

They make a couple of different A-2 type jackets. The goatskin looks the best. They have a Doniger type A-2 version, looks nice. Not top-tier accurate, but very wearable.
Send them pics or links of what you want...
They will customise...
I sent my ELC B-10 in to American Dry Cleaners for Ozone cleaning. Just to give it a freshen up.
Jacket was collected in a plastic bag and appeared fine. Brought home and hung up. Next day I took it out, planning to wear it, and it was then, I discovered a nasty dual safety pin-hole and creases...
Bronson is having a Black Friday sale - 20% off everything. No code, just check out. 4 days only...
