    AE-21 was USS SURIBACHI, an ammo ship in service from 1956-1994. I really like that you can sometimes track the history of a deck jacket thru the date of manufacture on the label and the stenciling on the back of the jacket.

    Buzz Rickson A-2 deck jacket. Great quality and fit! Ordered this off Amazon from Rodeo-Japan. Jacket was delivered in 4 days from Japan, no extra import or customs charges. I added the “U.S. Navy” tape over the chest pocket.

    I’m 6’ 1” with wide shoulders and long arms; I also love to have at least 2 inside pockets so custom was the way to go. Both my US A G-8’s fit like a glove and are well worth the cost.     As a late Christmas present to myself, I just ordered a Buzz Rickson A-2 deck jacket (found one in a rare XXL). Finding an original in size XL/48 has been near impossible so I treated myself to a BR repro. Looking forward to going with more textile jackets and not my usual leather G-1.
