That's only one half of the community. The other half refers to tight-fitting clothes as emo/goth/punk. My mother has told me on countless ocassions that my fit looks bad. Any waist tuck or slimness whatsoever doesn't go well with her. She uses the word, "womanly" alot. -

Jacket too small?
The smaller the better if you ask me. In a world where jackets are actually tailored to fit two sizes too big, a small fit is a nice thing to have. -

Vintage Eyeglasses
I think that if they are 1980's you should be fine. From my experience plastics take a really long time to get brittle enough to break from adjustment. You'd be surprised how well they hold up.
