Thanks! The jacket does fit perfectly but I still have to try on the pants, which I think I may have to have taken in a bit and the inseam may be a tad short.
Oh! I didn't know zippers were that old! I thought they were a '30s invention. In that case it may have been origional, didn't seem to have any extra tailoring stitches.
Just back from the cleaners, and a real bargain on eBay. Dated 1926.
Close up of weave gives off a slight hint of windowpane.
The pants
The owner at some point had a tailor switch the button fly for a zipper. Though more convenient it's anachronistic.
With a constant search through eBay, I finally found these. They're at the store now getting lenses put in though I'm very nervous about them cracking.
