Personally I don't think that there can ever be a definitive comparison of decade quality, being as each different brand of hats had different methods for making many different types of felts. There's just too many variables to make any type of conclusion in that regard.

Wow, looks like I missed alot. I had no idea Tony was doing this all of a sudden. Great! It's hard to find a custom hatter who actually knows his vintage styles...this is very good.
That being said, the hat looks wonderful. Truly...although I have to admit I tihnk that ribbon would drive me nuts!
Personally, I HATE reblocking my hats by soaking them, because I always end up losing my perfect bash (and I'm not the kind of person that has alot of luck doing it again).
Is there any problem with reblocking your hat dry? Just pull it over the block, let it sit for maybe a day or...
