That is a very nice looking fedora. Wear it and enjoy it. Your grandmother will love seeing it on you.
It can be refurbished if necessary. I hope you get another 50 years out of it.

That sounds very good!
Indeed. My wife would agree how this grumpy adult would likely complain through the entire flick! "That guy parks like an idiot. Can this dummy turn his lights off? I cannot hear a thing through these awful speakers. I can hear those screaming kids from here.." So...
Oh yes, I remember the second run theaters and movie houses that showed older films at basement prices.
In the NYC / Queens area it seems the variety is gone and we're stuck with the mega multi-plexed stadium seating theaters.
I miss the variety we used to have.
My wife loves HOC and made us watch the entire season over the weekend. The things we do for love.. ;)
My wife picked Trollhunter and we really enjoyed it!
Is anyone looking forward to the Netflix produced Daredevil? The trailer is online today. I am looking forward to it.
Just to clarify, I am not anti-theater. I'm a movie fan and have been seeing films in the theater since I was around 10-11 years old. I truly miss the grand old theaters of my youth.
As time passed and the family and expenses grew it's been hard to justify the cost.
I'm looking forward...

No pickpocket or house thief ever stole...
Yes it absolutely is just a personal preference. Theaters in Queens are nasty, Manhattan is somewhat better and I've gone to nice ones out on Long Island.
All things considered I rarely choose to see films in theaters.
Yes I would have to pay transportation but wouldn't have those others costs I noted. One offsets the other.
There are theaters in Queens but none within walking distance. You need car, bus, or train to get there. The theaters in Queens (cleanliness and patrons) are disgusting. Attending...
Touche Edward! Blaming hippies for all that is wrong in the world is like blaming skateboarding punks on the Lower East Side NYC circa 1980-1985 for the decline in Western Civilization. You may as well beat up handicapped children while you're at it. ;)
Handsome businessmen in sharp suits...
Sasha can be zombie lunch as far as I am concerned. They wrote her current character (the best shot in the group and the PTSD thing) way too quickly for my taste.
Let's not forget she got knocked out by a guy (the hospital cop) who was tied up! She's lucky to be alive. I'm not buying her...
It's not exactly a faulty impression. Adjusted for inflation prices seem "relatively" stable. However is it fair to just look at the cost of a theater ticket and popcorn? What about transportation and factoring in other priority bills?
For our family of three to go from Queens to Manhattan...
The last thing we want are the wives getting together sharing stories. I say divide and conquer! When the wife complains, kindly listen but make her feel like she is the only who feels that way!
