    Shellac may help in this situation. Isn't it what's used to stiffen fedoras in the first place? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! Some dilute shellac sprayed on the fedora should do the job. Personally I'd experiment on a throwaway before fooling with something vintage and/or expensive.

    We enjoyed it too. I had given up on Cruise in a sci-fi story after the awful Oblivion. Emily Blunt is definitely easy on the eyes. Sahara is good one. I will watch it anytime it's on TCM.

    Olive oil is frequently used on veg tan leather to moisturize before or after dying. As you see it darkens natural leather a shade or two. You should be good to go on that belt!
