there's also labels such as Nigel Cabourn and Heritage Research who are 'vintage inspired' but a bit more towards 'fashion' than Old Town.
i'm planning a 20s collar shirt, but have decided that the rounded corner isn't for me, so will go for a square end (like top left, below, with a tab):
while i prefer a pointed toe, i find the rounded toe ones attractive too (for a more early 20s 'workwear' look they'd be perfect).
actually, ANY early 20s boots that fit me will be welcome.
i'm also intrigued by the three 'creases' that are stitched (?) behind the toe-cap area on a lot of 20s...

these are more for chilly English summer days than serious winter wear.
TT, two of the suits in question are conservative in cut, so i think it's simply a term for 'novelty' stripe fabric or other unusual design fabric. the same way they used the word 'fancy' as in 'fancy stripe'.
those seem to be hangers-on from the bizarre pocket styles that happened around 1915, such as this sort of thing:
...on equally odd shaped suits.
