Offering up an original Buco Horsehide J-27M black motorcycle jacket. The horsehide leather on this Buco simply beautiful, with lots of patina, in wonderful vintage condition. Just aged perfectly with some well earned minor scuffs and gentle wear over the years. Very rare style, produced from...
Offering a virtually brand new Aero Leathers D-Pocket Ridley in a beautiful “Blackened Brown” Vicenza Horsehide. The jacket has never been worn outside and only tried on for fit. The Ridley “Blackened Brown” Horsehide Vicenza is already showing some lovely grain and brown overtones out of the...
The Padded CR Bates I just sent Lina was exactly the same as this one, but slightly bigger...and too big for him. Seems like a good situation for a trade...;-)
Love these vintage Bates with the earlier "Tailored by Bates" label. One of the best vintage cafe racers around IMHO. Can't believe you're letting this one go...
Some good points. I'm thinking it probably is not a Cal Leather. The waistband on this jacket looks very different than the Cals I own. All my Cal Leathers have just 4 rows of stitching, with middle lines of stitching closer together in the kidney belt portion of the jacket. And the kidney...
I always take into consideration the method by which Aero & Thurston Bros. use to measure their jackets. From my understanding, they stretch out the leather to max tightness and then measure. Consequently, I've learned the hard way to always add an inch to the jacket length and the sleeve length...
Thurston Bros used to have a store front, but it was destroyed in a fire a few years back. Not sure what their storefront status is now...I think they have a fitting room where they can meet customers...at least that was my understanding, but this was pre-covid.
Yep. I pulled the trigger on this one. I found it described with better photos here on Thurston Bros. site and I couldn't resist. I've already had several Sheenes, both in size 42 & in size 40... and the size 40 hits that sweet spot for me. (Just picked up a new Aero Ridley in the Blackened...
These Sheenes typically run larger than stated size...like most Aeros.
And maybe it is a Natural CXL... could be just the lighting in the photo shows it to be a little darker.
I've been looking at this Sheene that just popped up on ebay. The seller says Natural CXL Horsehide...but it looks more like "Battered Tan" to me. Anyone else get the same reaction...
Yep. I've only had one Dyer, but the leather on it seemed plasticky and cheap. But I've seen other Dyer jackets come up that seemed to have better quality- just didn't want to take a chance on them.
Why not leather over 50? The best part of getting older is we finally get to do what we want, when we want, with whomever we want...and if someone doesn't like it, that's their problem.
Over 50 (actually over 60,) wearing a vintage Bates CR... in front of Excelsior Coffee Shop.
Offering a gently used The Flat Head Wild Child Wallet with sterling silver chain ring. IMHO one of the best wallets ever made, quality throughout, and crafted to last a lifetime. Black cowhide exterior. Red Pigskin lining. Sterling Silver exterior attachment ring- perfect for adding a biker...

The RH is very different than the 641xx- the 641xx has shoulder gussets, a lower kidney panel, a red lining, slight angling on the chest pockets, gussets on the zippered sleeves, nickel hardware.
RH has plain Buco style back, no lining, open zippered sleeves (like the Himel Kensington)...
Good score on the Schott Restoration Hardware jacket! They rarely come up. Love the simple Buco back on these Restorations. And the drum dyed cowhide leather is some of the softest I've encountered. I ended up putting a liner in mine.
On these Sportsters, you can usually figure one size down from the label...a size 48 will be closer to a size 46. Also missing the diamond pull on the chest pocket. But still seems like a good price...if the zips are all working.
