I've been hunting for a suede Schott Rancher in a size 42 for quite a while now. And I finally scored one-- just came in yesterday. The suede on these vintage Schott Trucker jackets is very thick and grainy. Best of all, the arms are a little longer than on the equivalent vintage Levis suede...
Offering a black horsehide Aero Board Racer in the Vicenza. Virtually still new- never worn outside the house. (Just tried on once or twice for fit.) Features black cotton drill lining, one inside pistol pocket, Buco horsehide label, Thurston label, Aero stamped on neck snap, all nickel...
That is simply a work of art! The bottom front fit looks perfect. But I see how the back could feel a bit long. I've been there with a Sheene- it took me 3 tries to get mine just right. Unlike other jackets, there's absolutely no wiggle room for error on a Sheene. If it's not the perfect fit...
I've got a brown Kehoe cafe racer that's a bit too big for me. I can let it go very cheaply- $100. If you're interested, PM me and I can send you measurements and details.
Cheers!
Fresh to market- vintage Cal Leather Horsehide CHP jacket. This is a recent flea market find, and in beautiful original vintage condition. The leather is super supple, and the lining is intact. Inside pocket. Just aged perfectly with some well earned minor scuffs and gentle wear over the years...
Yep. Just checked my original Langlitz order. No extra charge for pinstripes, yoke, inner pocket, and a few other modifications. Cost for jacket with all the mods (mid weight cowhide, contrast stitching, gusseted sleeves, snap on map pocket) was an even $1000. The only extra charge was for elbow...
I may be wrong, but I don't recall paying extra for the back pinstripes on my custom Langlitz order. I think they'll add them at no extra charge. And I definitely did not pay extra for the yoke- it's part of the signature Cascade design.
Just as beautiful as I remember it! That was going to be my grail jacket...but sadly, after putting it on, I knew within moments the jacket was too big.
I'm glad to see it go to a good home and all the lovely restoration you're doing. One could buy a brand new one from Langlitz, and wear it for...
Dang! Who knows- might even be the same jacket that Freddie owned! Check for glitter and illicit white powder residue in the pocket lining. Then... Rock it!!
Just spotted on the Cal Leather Instagram feed... "In addition to James Dean owning wearing a Cal Leather, rock legend Freddie Mercury had this Cal Leather LAPD model with custom padding."
Fresh find... Just picked this custom Cal Leather horsehide jacket this morning at the flea market. Size 42-44. Nice long sleeves. Not sure if I'm keeping it or not, (already have one in the same style) but I couldn't say no...Hopeless addict. ;-(
I just got done talking to him a while ago. He said deer has the most color and weight options, and is the most pliable. Buffalo, or American Bison actually, is still soft but has the least stretchiness while Elk is in between.
Elk is the most exotic of the bunch and all the ones I see are...
