I would say, like fixing a car, start small and cheap. Try hitting it with some steam (boil up some water and hold the hat about 6 inches from the surface, in the steam). Be patient. Let it do it's thing. Do not apply heat or anything of that nature. If the band can be moved a little in spots, you could do that. Be sure to rest the hat on a hat rest or on it's crown, not on the brim. The main thing is, did it soak through to the sweatband. If it did, do...- Not-Bogart13

I have a Selentino Spruce, which is the same felt as the Sterling. Newbie's new hat, and can use sizing/fitting advice!
I have found the Temple very hit-or-miss in terms of how it looks on people, but it works well for you. Especially with the suit. I wouldn't panic about the way it fits. Which Christy - Adventurer, Knightsbridge, or Fedora?
Of the models you mention, I know that the Adventurer will have the least taper. However, the lower crown of the Fedora might hide the difference.
