Due process is part of the legal system. The conduct policy is part of his employment. I don't know of any employer who waits for the wheels of justice to grind out the facts before suspending or firing an employee.
Well, I like a big dog. I think they are smarter, there is more of them to hug, and they can play a little harder with you.
My last dog, Sasha, was an orange and white chow mix. Everyone wanted to pet him because he was so beautiful and soft. He would tolerate small children petting him for...
My 1910 house has been through two 100-year storms without any ill effect. It's just the right size for me, too. I can't see myself living in a 2000-s.f. new house with a jacuzzi and home theater and lot of other stuff I don't need, nor would I want to be cooped up in a condo.
This is like that case a few years ago where a man kidnapped a woman and she prayed with him and made him breakfast. She got away unharmed. Not all criminals are like that, of course, but most people in general are less likely to get snotty if they are treated respectfully. Experts say you...
My dog died of cancer two months ago and I'm looking for another dog. I saw a dog on the Max Fund site (a no-kill shelter) who was found wandering around New Orleans Parish after Hurricane Katrina. His profile says he needs to learn some manners, but he has that sparkle in his eye. I'm planning...
A couple of years ago, when I was about to turn 37, I started changing my wardrobe, too. I retired the mini skirts while I still had the legs for them. I stopped buying men's Levi's. I adopted a more elegant look that I thought fit my age because I didn't want to turn into that middle-aged women...

Wanna be neighbors? (OK, this house is a little uptown from me. This is closer to home.)
Ms. Kelo, of Kelo v. New London fame, used the Institute for Justice in her defense of keeping her property. New London wanted to tear down her (and other) houses to build properties that would generate more taxes.
The case went to the Supreme court, where Ms. Kelo lost.
However...
Who here would tell a friend that she needs to wear something more substantial under her skirt because the skirt is flying up higher than she realizes? A good friend said that to...ummm...another good friend of ours. :o
Embarrassing? Sure, but our friend was glad somebody said something.
Kitchen scissors. They're safer than a knife, and you don't have to cut herbs, game hens and packages with scissors you used to cut burrs out of the dog's hair.
Electric drill. Constantly comes in handy. Oh, and a hammer and studfinder if you want to hang pictures.
Medicine. Get it now...
I, for one, am happy with how the Fedora Lounge is run. I'd rather see the bartenders err on the side of caution: it may limit some discussion, but it also maintains the lounge's high standards of decorum. I'm also glad it's a family friendly site because I often visit when I'm at work. I'm not...
Yes, I agree that having a good basic and a few good moves, and doing them really well, and moving to the music, is better than having a dozen badly executed moves. It just takes experience to avoid running into people and stepping on their feet.
A few weeks ago, I was dancing with a good...
