Its good to see the old steam trains running again.
This loco is a J-3 that belonged to NC&St.L railroad. They scrapped all of them except this one, and donated it to the city of Nashville, and has been in Centennial Park since 1952. I think late last year, it was moved and is currently being...
Since it’s rather warm this time of year, I thought I needed something to keep me “cool”. So I decided on the VS “Glacier” that some of us were lucky enough to get from Art late last year before his retirement. This pic is about the fifth one I took today, and still doesn’t represent the color...
Yes. And it's not really that heavy feeling. Originally I was going to go with a 3 inch-ish brim, (easier for driving in the truck) but when Rick told the dimensions that were possible once he started working it, I hated for him to cut it down! So asked to keep as much as possible. I'm very...
I agree with you Brent. I was thinking of telling him, "IF you WERE to make such in such hat, like this or that.....I'd get it!!!"
Seriously, I'd be just as pleased with a "ready-made" of Ricks hats. He does such good work, and really takes care in his hat making. I'm wearing one he made for me...
Received my latest hat from Rick yesterday, which proves not all Mondays are bad!!
It is a dyed natural 100% beaver felt, in Ricks Arizona style. After seeing the size of the felt before he started, I hated for him to cut off so much of the brim width, so he left it and got a good 4 inch...
Seems to me its taking a very good pic there. And I can't get over the detail you have put on that store! The peeling paint, the worn step going into the door. Amazing!
I don't think the grommets really distract me that much. I think it's just that we all grew up watching westerns, and they didn't have them, so it's something we are not used to. I liked the looks of it, and the Mansfield one also.
Yes it did sir. I had been looking at pics while waiting on it to arrive, and trying to decide what I wanted to do to the crown. What I settled on when I started this morning, wasn't quite getting it, so somehow, it morphed into this, and I think it works nicely. And reminds me of John Wayne...
Morning gang. I received this hat on Friday. I got it from Crappy Cowboy Hats, which is sister site of D Bar J hats. Don’t know if anyone ever tried one of his hats, but I will say I like this one just fine. His regular site has very nice hats and he has a half price sale going on now. This...
I thought this one interesting, so looked on Google maps. It is still there! The Google map said 2019, so at least then. Grown up really bad, but you can pick out the restaurant and the building/rooms behind.
Like your plans for the truck.
I have one of the new Jeep Gladiator trucks. I'm on the JL Wrangler Forum and the Jeep Gladiator Forum.
There's a guy from UK on the wrangler one, that often posts pics of older Jeeps of all types. He has an occasional military one.
I would enjoy seeing pics of your Jeep. I am on a Jeep forum, and, with your permission, would like to re-post them there. I think all the gang would enjoy seeing them.
Wore my old 3x Stetson today. I’ve been trying my hand at sewing my own ribbons. I like to change the look from time to time. I make them to be taken off, not sewn to the hat.
Did the one on the hat this morning at work, and the other one as well.
