I have a few horsehair hat bands, and will put one on from time to time. I think if you find one that looks good on the hat and you like it, wear it. Everyone has different tastes. Good thing is you can take them off if you don’t like it.
It really is Sir. I wore it to work today and have florescent lights in the office and it looks a light blue. I think it really depends on the lighting as to the color. Which I think is simply cool!
Thank you. I am very pleased with both these hats, and am so happy I got them before Art retires. They will be treasured by me, and maybe someone else down the road.
It is lighter in the pics. To my eyes, inside the house it looks a light grey tone but when I took it out on the deck, which is shaded , it had a blue tone to it. In either case it is a light color, but the pics almost made it look white. I would say it’s not your everyday grey toned felt.

Not sure if this helps Brent, but one shot with sun on it and the other in the shade, both on my front porch with afternoon sun. I really don’t think either pic shows the color correctly. The one in the sun looks somewhat washed to me. But here they are for what it’s worth.
Got to show off this beautiful Pecan hat as well. Just unboxed the both of these hats. All I can say is “Woohoo!”
And, thank you Art for both of these fine hats.
Ok, the moment you all have been waiting for! Glacier, this with a burgundy ribbon. The felt leans a gray tone inside, but more blue toned outside. In either case, one gorgeous, soft hat. Thank you Art for this.
Thank you buddy. Sitting in the truck now waiting for my wife. She got hung up at work and running a little late. In the shade but pretty warm. I’m wearing the hat now, starting to get a bit warm, and beginning to sweat. I don’t care, I’m wearing it anyway!!
Thank you Brent. It is right at 5 & 1/2 crown, (about 4 & 1/2 at front crease) and 2 & 3/4 brim. The color is great, a real light gray color, that I don't think my pics show. It should go with just about anything. Not sure if you are getting the dress weight or western this time, but I will tell...
Thank you sir. I like the crown also. My wife thought it too tall, but not me! I really wanted a contrasting ribbon, but couldn't decide which color. So we decided to do it this way, and I have to say, it came out very well.
Good Morning all. Just received my Phoenix Hat from Rick yesterday. I am very pleased with this hat. It is a thin yet soft felt. A very nice Silverbelly color. If anyone is looking for a good hat at an affordable price, I would suggest getting in touch with Rick.
Happy Friday everyone. I am pretty pleased today, as I received my hat from Rick yesterday. I have to say that this is a very nice hat, and one can't beat the price. It is a very thin felt and has a soft feel to it. It is a nice silverbelly color. I look forward to wearing it a lot! I'd like to...
Not sure if that’s the Moore hat, but I can vouch for Buckaroo. Mike Moore does an excellent job making hats. I have 3. A hare, a 100% beaver and a beaver mink blend. All western weight and all very good hats. You can feel the difference in the different furs, but hard to look at them and tell...
