    Hot Topic

I have had friends who like shopping in Hot Topic, so I have been in there numerous times in the past five or so years and have noticed "fedora-ish" wool hats that they sell. They certainly aren't the greatest quality, and for someone who prefers the "traditional" fedora, they aren't the right...

Question on vintage desk fan maintenance

Hi all, I tried doing a search, but couldn't come up with anything specific for my question, so hopefully this is the place to post this. I have a mid 1940's vintage Emerson desk fan which I have been using pretty heavily for the past several months. I recently started wondering if I should...

Request feedback from members on hat

I would have to agree with the general consensus here. The Vintage Borsalino and Stetson Reno look the best. The taller crown definitely does it for you!

    Bonnie And Clyde Style Newsboy...Where??

I got the deep cut in the linen fabric. It was a close call though because I really like the Heather Gray fabric too. Perhaps if the first hat goes well, I shall get a second.

    Bonnie And Clyde Style Newsboy...Where??

I just placed an order for a newsboy cap from Hat People; looking forward to the results. I guess I'm just hesitant because I know how hard it can be to buy a hat online that you can't try on before buying; still, I have been considering one of these for several months.

    Pocketwatches

I have yet to get my one and only pocket watch cleaned, but fairly recently I took a vintage wristwatch into my local shop to get cleaned. The owner told me that part of their cleaning included the replacing of the main spring. I'm not sure if that was just for wristwatches, or if this shop...

    My New 1926 Apartment

Those are really cool pictures; thanks for sharing! I always like looking at other peoples' vintage homes. Vintage buildings just have so much more character than cookie-cutter homes built today.

I recieved the best compliment the other nite at the pub

That's a cool compliment! So I'm guessing everyone else there was tremendously under dressed?

    Is your fedora tipped?

I usually wear mine pretty straight. I just haven't been able to determine if fedoras really look good on me at an angle. Also, based on the ones I have, and the sizes they are, they just feel better and more "correct" when they're worn straight. Maybe if I ran into one that fit just a bit...

    The Cap Faction

I find that when I wear my cap, my hat hair symptoms are a lot less. Does anyone else get that? I also have to admit now that sometimes, I change hats throughout the day. I live and work on a college campus, so I will sometimes swap out my hat in-between classes or a work shift. I guess...

    Free Indycop's Hat

I said "no". Pretty much the same reasons as everyone else; the waiting can be kinda fun, and it will make Christmas just a tiny bit more exciting.

    The Cap Faction

Problem is, every day now, I have to glance back and forth between my fedoras and the cap, and determine which one gets to ride with me that day. I do try to be fair, I really do...[huh]

    "Remembrance" by Art Fawcett!

Quick, Art! It's not too late to change your answer! Just tell them you made a mistake, and if the hat isn't allowed out of the box for fresh air and a drink of water, it might shrivel up and die! Or at least tell them they need to poke breathing holes in the box...

    The Cap Faction

I only just within the past year became interested in caps. Since I've been wearing hats, they mainly have been fedoras. Here's a pic taken of me in my first cap-a Bailey a bought on a whim after suddenly realizing how good I look in a cap browsing a store in town.

    Old Time Radio on MP3

I haven't tried the DVD format ones, but nearly all the radio shows in my collection are in MP3 format on CD's. I would say its definitely worth the price, considering smaller collections from Radio Spirits or what have you can be a lot more expensive for a lot less. What I have found is...
