What is it you want more than anything...?

I would like a good breakfast with coffee right about now. Also, having been up since 3:30, I'm ready for my day to be over so I can enjoy Friday night and sleep in tomorrow.

Very stylish actually; I do believe you have stumbled across something unique and different.

A Terrible Loss: My Art Fawcett Beauty

That is AWFUL news! In reality though, I couldn't see a teenage hoodlum wearing a fedora, so more than likely if they know what a nice quality beaver felt is worth, they will take it to a pawn shop. Definitely get some pictures and pass them around. Art's hats are so unique and one of a kind...

    A remake from Art

Holy cow that's gorgeous! I definitely like that ribbon style. Wear that hat with pride, and I shall resist the urge to snatch it off your noggin'! :)

OK......So I'm diving in with both feet.....

Nothing makes a great day like a new hat (or new to your collection, anyway). Do enjoy; hope they exceed your expectations when you get them, and do post pictures for all to see.

    Christmas Films….

Well, previous years have shown that my family and I tend to start watching Christmas movies about two weeks prior to Christmas. By that pattern, I would say it's too early; especially here in New Mexico where it is much warmer than usual. Seriously, some days I'm a little bit warm even in a...

    1935 Murder Mystery Evening

Thanks for posting the pics. That must have been a lot of fun! I'd love to participate in a real in-depth murder mystery game at some point. I guess it only makes sense considering my favorite board game is Clue.

And You Wonder Why I'm a Cynic...

My experience with police officers does not come from personally knowing one in my group of family or friends, nor any frequent experience with police in daily civilian life. For the Criminology degree that I am getting, I have taken several sociology courses tailored to policing. The...

And You Wonder Why I'm a Cynic...

Personally, I would be surprised if the cop even showed up at the court date. Or maybe I'm just thinking about how things are here in Albuquerque; so many hearings get thrown out because the officer doesn't even show up. It really takes a specific type of person to be in Law Enforcement...

    I Finally Found A Whippet...

I actually watched that one, not because I was interested: mainly, it wasn't my size. I could just tell over the past couple of days that the price was going to be huge, and that was one gorgeous hat. I don't suppose anyone here got it, did they? Do come forward if you did, and tell us about...

    stupid question

Interesting read. Hmm...the last statistics are from 2006. Is there any easy way to tally the exact number of users at any given time; or is that fancy administrative stuff?

    Classic Arcade and Video Games

That was definitely one of my old favorites. Along with Day of the Tentacle, another Lucas Arts release. Really, the only slightly more modern release of Lucas Arts that I've played and pay attention to is Grim Fandango. That one is just so unique and also has a noir-ish vibe to it.

    What's wrong with these people?

I think that could probably be answered with psychology. I think it is safe to say that children up to a certain age are definitely influenced by media, movies, video games, parents, friends, you name it. The age in which a person's conscience and logical understanding of the world kicks in is...

    What's wrong with these people?

This sort of thing makes me nauseous. I just don't understand what goes through some peoples' minds, and how they decide that killing or hurting animals is a "cool" thing to do. I work part time with Resident Life security at my university, and just about a month ago we had a case involving...

    Classic Arcade and Video Games

The first computer game I remember playing was Tetris back on the 386 computer my dad got back around 1990. I can remember playing Nova 9 shortly after that. It was a shooting space type game with nine planets you had to visit and destroy the enemies. I have many memories of my childhood...

    Saw

If I understand correctly, isn't that basically what a psychological thriller is? Those are the best in my opinion. And I truly believe that a good psychological thriller plot has a lot more quality and work put into it than some slasher film. Basically, the writer has to sit down and think...
