German 1950's REX Royal Quality snap-brim with Antilope finish.
Note the unusual edge binding. It is a size 57 and in excellent condition.

1941 - French POWs in Germany. Quite a variety of sweaters. But I like the zipped jacket best, as one might have guessed.

A pre-war example (ca.1936-39). Notch-lapel pinstripe suit jacket with flannels.
It certainly was more accepted than many imagine.

No labels at all - it is also entirely unlined. The cut is 1930s, the zippers may hint more towards 40-50's.
Possibly home-sewn - as there is a lot of wonk with the seams.
I added the knit cuffs to extend the sleeves.
One of the blessings of Germany is undoubtedly the wide range of excellent breads - particularly if one wants grey or dark bread.
At almost any place it is possible to find a bakery nearby and also the chain-grocery bakeries and re-baked goods are mostly quite good.

Just to avoid any misunderstanding: My criticism was first and foremostly directed at large fast food chains. Not restaurants or smaller family-run venues.
While I greatly prefer home-cooked, I also then and now eat out. But since at least five or six years I have not visited a fast food...
