Just bought a pair of Ariat crepe soled pullon workboots. I really like them, but one problem. The right fits perfectly. The left one is a little loose. It is not as tight at the instep, the heel seems just a bit looser, and boot seems to rock back and forth add I walk. Not a lot, but just...
Just wanted to say what a nice place this is. You ask a question ( and I know I ask stupid questions) but you get a coherent, logical and polite answer. This is the nicest place on the web. And like good grooming, civility matters, except far more.
I could not find a thread for this so I started one. I recently purchased a pair of Ariat pullon workboots. I would like to soften the leather to stretch to fit better. I assume that we all know about Ariat sizes. These are 9.2 D and need to be just a little bit wider. It will happen in...
No doubt this will be old news to most of you, but this is something I just recently developed an interest in. Tweed suits. When is it proper to wear them? I am a philistine and I do not know. Thank you for your support.
Just bought a bottle of Pinaud Jamaica bay rum. Very disappointed. As a kid in the early 50's I can remember leaving to local barbershop smelling of bay rum. Who makes Bay Rum that smells like real Bay Rum?
I've got some old binoculars too. They all work fortunately. Those are nice ones you've got there. Dad had some work on the flak binoculars back in the 60's I think. I doubt if it would be possible to find anyone doing that kind of work now days. Everything is disposable now. :(
I need help..............no, no that,... I have a pair of WWII luftwaffe flak binoculars.
They are of no use to me as I no longer spot for bombers. I inherited them, but now I want to sell them. Can anyone recommend a reputable site where I may sell them. I know ebay, but I am rather tired...
Looking at there photos of the old parlors/living rooms I noticed how they gave off a different vibe than modern rooms. Eventually, I think I figured it out. No TV! They are designed for human socialization, not for staring at a box. Or is just me?
I recently inherited some old(some are very old) shop manuals.I intend to sell them.Is there a site where I can look at some prices? Manuals go back to the early 20's, and most are in good condition. The sites I have found so far do not have publications that go back to the 20-30s like mine do.
About a year maybe two years ago, somebody listed a fine site for 30's=40's swing and jazz. As I recall the site was small and had no fancy graphics -just listed the stations I think. As for the stations I can remember two (of course there were more) one was from same place in Idaho or Montana...
