    I buying a new 1920's dinner suit(black tie) and a new 1900's silk plush bell curve top hat to go with it. Even though it is semi-formal, since the dinner suit is from 1920's the only real appropriate hat to wear with is the silk plush top hat.

    I got this from a picture on ebay where the seller was positive it was from 1909. If you look at some of the suits with no coats They are no later than 1919. Look at the hats they have the brim curled and a center dent with side dents and no front pinch. Very popular at the turn of century. And...

    Shows the classic fedora of 30's and 40's was worn as early as the turn of the century. This picture was taken in Italy in 1909. I will post more pictures from the teens and 20's of the wide brimmed teardrop fedora with the front pinch being worn. I spotted 2 people with this style in this picture.

    Yes. That's my(was) uniform. The Picture was taken a year ago. I graduated the Cadet academy and decided I wanted to be a hatter not a police officer. The Chief was not happy.lol lol lol :eek::eek: :eek:

    A man who loves and is passionate about the circus so he dresses in a clown suit everyday, that's NOT a costume. 1,000 men dressed in over sized navy suits with red power ties dressed to get ahead in life...that's a costume. Dressing is self expression, so express yourself, no one else.

    Thank you. BTW my friend who is a professional Tango Dancer said she would teach me personally how to dance the Tango.;) I Love to dance but I'm more of a 70's SOUUUUUL Train Dancer. I think the Passion will work itself out nicely in the Tango.
