For me the only time I would do jeans and a sportscoat would be if the jacket is western style and only with dark blue cowboy wranglers or Levi 501s and of course with boots otherwise I would always do slacks .
Thanks . I really love the holly vogue tie . It's the shortest tie I own so far at 45 inches . 40s ties are by far my favorite . Hard to find where I live most of the thrift stores around here are full of 90s , 80s and 70s ties. I really like my 60s Stetson open road too.
The Stetson open road is 1964 dated
Shirt is a 1950s long sleeve Arrow sports shirt
The houndstooth pattern western jacket is 90s
Pants are modern dockers
Aviators were my grandpas might be 70s.
Here's what I wore today . I tried for a 1950s look . The suit is 90s but has no vents and such so it kinda looks 50s, the tie is 50s , the shirt is modern but styled with the 4 inch collar , the western belt is modern.
Yup haha thanks I like that one too. That's my oldest one so far my only 40s tie . I learned some of my tie dating tricks on here and from one of my friends.
I'm so glad there is finally a trailer . It looks great. In anticipation for the movie I even reshaped my cowboy hat to have a horse shoe crease. Just curious other then the horseshoe and cattlemen/ modified cattlemen does anyone know what other kind of hat creases Hank wore it's hard to tell...
I have bought wool Pendleton shirts from the swap meet that said dry clean only . I just washed them in cold water on regular settings with tide and they were fine . I woulda recommend a cool dryer setting and iron after cause they tend to wrinkle
Thanks for all the info . I don't have that much of an arch on my foot. What brand boots would you recommend? I want something comfortable that's not too expensive. I don't use my boots for working that much but I do a lot of walking in them.
Here is a picture of my Laredo boots. I never liked the color but they were very comfortable when they started out now they kill my feet after a couple miles.
Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this but I have a question. I'm getting better at dating vintage neckties and was wondering what was the typical width and length of 1920s ties?
