Very true! I think this was common knowledge long ago. Fruit is full of carbs, too, but I imagine fresh fruit was available only in season, and canned fruit perhaps wasn't really a staple.
I cut the carbs down to about 50 grams per day and lost 15 pounds while working out less. It cured my acid...
My aunt and uncle had a beloved dog they called Lady, who loved to smell the petunias.
Long ago, my parents had dogs named Puppy (a big airdale) and Tooter (I had thought it was Tudor after my grandmother's ancestral home).
From the movies, there was Toto from the Wizard of Oz and Asta...

For safety's sake, don't wear kitten or stiletto heels. A coworker of mine had a bone in her foot broken when someone stepped on her with one of those. A cuban heel is a good, timeless choice; in a typical swing scene, sueded tennis shoes like Keds won't be out of place...
If you have to ask, I assume these newspapers don't have much sentimental value for you.
Personally, I can't stand clutter, I don't have much closet space and I won't pay for storage. If it were mine, I'd pass it on to a collector.
I have a binder that I keep interesting articles in, but...
There are some suggestions in this thread.

I enjoyed the Queen Mary, but can't recommend the food they serve.
Yes, the major grocery stores here have self-service checkout. One has six self-service checkouts, but it doesn't seem to be any faster than the express lane that's staffed by one checker.
A few years ago, a friend and I drove to a city about 20 or 30 miles away. The shopping centers along...
The online newspaper I read has a printer-friendly button you can push to make a nice, square layout that's easier to read.
What I don't like is sloppy reporting, no fact checking, poor editing, non-existent proofreading, and running press releases as articles. I get more and more of my...
There's not much reason to buy a newspaper when its content is online for free. I don't see how they'll stay in business without selling online subscriptions.
All the ambition in the world doesn't do any good without aptitude. I've watched too many smart, positive, driven people spin their wheels in pursuits they lacked native ability for to think otherwise.
Shopping malls here have about a 25-year life span. When Cinderella City was built in the late 60s, it was one of the largest malls in the country. It was the place to be. By the late 90s, it was deserted. Now there's a Wal-Mart, other retail, government offices, a library, condos and a train...

Some info in this thread. Lots of extraneous stuff, too--I'm afraid you'll just have to wade through it:

I really like most of Sinatra's work. Some of his much, much later stuff, though...he should have retired earlier than he did.
I'm not a huge fan of either Bing Crosby or Dean Martin, but it's Dean Martin for me.
Prius brake problems aside, most Toyotas are extremely reliable. Mine just turned over 70,000 miles and I've never had a major problem with it. Most cars would be starting to fall apart about now.
Reminds me of the movie Christmas in Connecticut from 1945, synopsis courtesy of the imdb database:
In her Smart Housekeeping column, Elizabeth Lane [played by Barbara Stanwyck] provides amazing recipes and homemaking hints. However, Elizabeth's got a little secret: SHE needs a recipe to boil...
