Best quality pic I've seen yet, Alan. We watched 2:01 totality in Monmouth, Oregon. It took me 2 hours to get home on a 35 minute trip, but my brother from LA took 12 hours to get to his hotel in Redding, CA, which is normally a 6 hour trip.
Did you notice a drop in temp? The wind started up...
I just went full filtered water pour on my Milan. And then held the front brim down on and off for 30 or so minutes in exaggerated form until it dried off. Looks like this one should take!
Automobile gasoline, yes. Naptha, or camp fuel, or white gas, as it is variously known, evaporates quickly and as it is so clean and refined, leaves no odor.... the felt smells of new felt and the leather sweat smells like leather after 2 to 3 hours drying out on my back deck.

I always treat the...
Nope, I have a vintage Leon that Mike is fixing for me, and the modern Florentine Milan I got recently. I think MrsFed will be upset if I buy another.... drat!

I can't can't say enough how much I like this one, Mike. The sand color is perfect and the only thing I would change is the front brim in snapped-down mode. Steam will do it! I've applied steam twice to my Stetson Florentine Milan and it finally stays down where I want it.
I'm guessing, yes. Mike Miller is with NW Hat Company in Eugene, OR, and he makes customs every day. You guys need to stop using Mike so much! My work is taking longer and longer to get to! Hahaha!
