Who owns this beauty?
My Gannon lids — three and counting — are all wide ribbons, because I have yet to find a hat by one of the large manufacturers that suits my fancy (the Stetson Racine comes close, but damn, that orange ribbon is hard to pair). I am, ironically, first and foremost a...
I need to preface this post with the fact that I have a serious love/hate relationship with summer hatting. I love my felt fedoras for the cooler months, but don't dig the aesthetic of straw hats (to each their own) for the warmer ones. Enter the 8-panel linen cap.
The only caveat: I prefer an...
Beautiful lid, @Short Balding Guy.
As the proud owner of several white-hued hats, I have to ask: how does this one compare to your collection of Silvermist (and I assume Silverbelly, too) lids?
YES! After an embarrassing amount of time staring at images on my monitor, Beckham's collection is most definitely heavy on Lock & Co caps. His preference is certainly their Muirfield and/or Sandwich model, but I'm having a hell of time distinguishing between the two models.
Thanks again...
Hi all,
I'm curious to know what make/model of newsboy cap Mr. Beckham favors.
I realize it's most likely a European brand, so more particularly, I'm interested in makes and models with similar proportions: I have a few caps from Stetson and Knickerbocker, and none of them have the...
Keep us posted, @Short Balding Guy. My silvermist from Gannon suffers from the same ailment.
I love the silvermist color, but not it's weight, and ended up placing a nearly identical order with Michael in Silverbelly to compensate. My silvermist only sees daylight in late spring / early fall...
I've had a love/hate relationship with the rust colored ribbon that comes stock on Stetson's Racine model since I first laid eyes on it.
Earlier this month I worked up the courage to let Van at JJ Hat Center swap it out for one that matches the trim. So, debuting for the very first...
Too many hats, only one head...
50s or 60s Stratoliner in Blue Gray. Hat has several moth bites (shown in images). Size is marked 7 1/8, but it’s a perfect 7 1/4. Asking $100 plus shipping (what I paid for it earlier this year).
Images have been white balanced for accuracy.
Thought I'd share my quest for the perfect off-white lid and simultaneously show the subtle color differences between Michael's Silvermist and Silverbelly felt. Photos have been white balanced.
Silverbelly on the left, Silvermist on the right.
The primary difference is the weight of the...
I woke up today thinking "city slicker poses as ranch hand," apparently.
Stetson Premier Strat in the perfect shade of brown, with Bowie blasting in the background to maintain street cred.
*Correction: Fit is Straight Fit*
$30 + shipping (typically less than $10).
