The Poets that Indy wore fluctuated from film to film, and those were only a few years apart. The Poets in production, say 70 years prior to Indy wearing them were likely quite different too.

That is sweet! I'd definitely say 2 inch ribbon, if not wider. And trying using some febreeze for the smell. Maybe stuff some dryer sheets in the sweatband for a little while.

Found this old Lee "Edgelee" for 15 bucks. It's seen better days, it was badly crushed, the ribbon had a fold in it, it's missing the liner and the wind trolly, but no holes! Which is the most important thing. It's a work in progress, steaming water resistant hats can get futile.
I play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drums, glockenspiel, banjo, keyboards/piano/organ/synthesisers, lap steel, and produce music. And by play, I mean "make noise that can sometimes be used in song."
