Well, the same group that owns Sears and K-Mart, anyway. Look down at the bottom of their website's home page. It says "Visit our other websites" with links to Sears, K-Mart, and the great outdoors. I quit buying from them years ago, when it seemed to me that their offerings had been pared way...
Oh, yeah... Lands' End. Another company that used to be a great one to do business with. I can't remember when I last bought something from them. I was disappointed when they were sold out to Sears.
Bleah.
Cheers,
Tom
The Reuters article did not include this quote from the Credit Suisse analyst that was in the BBC news article:
"The extent of the weakness may be larger than expected, but the reasons behind it are not. It begins, and some would argue ends, with Sears' reluctance to invest in stores and...
My over-$300 sniper bid was blown past before the sniper could fire. That was one that I knew would probably require an extravagantly high bid, but which I couldn't justify at this time. Hats like this are very rare; a custom version would probably be the best bet in getting one.
Cheers,
Tom
I received... a bench grinder. Not sure where my wife got the idea I needed one, and I probably wouldn't have bought one for myself because it's one of those things that the average guy doesn't need very often. I am sure, however, that when I need one I'll be very glad to have it! She also...
I think I would have had a talk with my local police department. They might have been real interested. Of course, as I type this I realized that you may not know which digit they were off when calling.
I wouldn't give up a landline either. The primary reason is that we don't have a decent...
Historyteach, if you're in Huntington WV you've got a hat store with a master hatter a lot closer then that. You should check out Batsakes hat store in Cincinnati. It's about a 2-hour drive from my house; I live a bit north of Portsmouth, OH, which puts me about an hours drive from Huntington so...
:D Reminds me of back in the late '80s during military exercises when we did mock deployments. There was a checklist as to what we were required to have in our duffle bags and we'd do a "show and tell" on the flightline to prove we had everything we were supposed to have. Sure enough, the bald...
I am a Cold War Veteran. It says so in my shadow box. ;) My first duty station in 1980 was Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, assigned to HQ Strategic Air Command. It's funny... but I noticed over the years that those of us who had been assigned to HQ SAC would say that we were "at" SAC, wheras...
Took two of my granddaughters Trick or Treating this evening. Things have changed a lot since I was a kid going out in South Gate in the '60s and early '70s. Being in a rural area now we have to find a bit of neighborhood to crash. There are a few that get hit with all of the county kids each...
I like hats. ;)
Actually, that's a question that has a lot of answers and all of them relevant, but one that rarely gets asked. At least my hat acquisitions have slowed down considerably lately.
Cheers,
Tom
I wear a Lee Water-Bloc 10 Blue Label Stratoliner clone in silverbelly almost daily. I know, sounds funny that a guy with hundreds of hats should wear just one most of the time. But I tend to sweat easily and profusely and I dress casually for work (button-down shirt and jeans) most days. It...
I like it!!! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Further proof that a derby doesn't always need a suit and tie. I've been considering wearing one of mine to work--this encourages me to do so.
Cheers,
Tom
