Hey, Buchanan - just out of curiosity, is your homburg one of those modern, stiff wool "Designer Collection"/"Godfather" jobs... or is it a vintage fur felt hat?
That is a beaute!! A warm brown like that is a very versatile color. Fantastic proportions. Obviously a quality lid. I could believe '40s for that one. It does have a generous swath of brown roan leather inside. Congrats and thanks for showing us - you've got a real winner there!
WOW, what a great string of hats, gents! Just went back over the last four pages of the thread and they are ALL winners. Keep 'em coming, they look wonderful!
Good goin', D-man. You've been luckin' out lately!

I posted these in the Harness Boot thread but I thought I'd put them here also just to shake up ol' cookie.
Here's a pair I got some time ago but I don't think I ever photographed them before.
A fine example of what Nunn Bush USED to be. Note the skived soles with hidden stitching (now showing in worn places). I'm not sure what to call this style; Cap Wing, perhaps???:
Here's a pair of harness boots I've had for quite some time. Just got around to taking pix. Love 'em. Old friends. No visible brand name or other information in or on them but somebody made them well.
Much appreciated, mays'. You've sure got your share of Borsos and other fine felts. I always enjoy the way you capture the sheen/finish in your photos.
