JOHN HANLY & CO. LTD IRISH WOOL NEWSBOY FLAT CAP 7-1/2...
{I would use the little 'eyes bugging out' guy on this one, but since the upgrade those little emoticons are mostly just tiny blurs.}
Couldn't resist, Alan, but in seriousness, I like the entire ensemble from head to toe. Who made the shoes?...
Thanks for the added info, fellas!
Well, it didn't last long on the 'bay before someone snapped it up with a BIN offer I couldn't refuse. Tomorrow it begins its journey to Japan...:D
It's a 1940s Shaw Walker. Weighs a ton! I've had it a dozen years or so. I've seen similar ones with asking prices around $400 at auction sites. I paid less than that, as you can imagine.
Very helpful, fellas - Thanks!!
Also, the Made In USA tag has a modern (last 20 years) vibe about it, wouldn't you say?
I gobble up, and store, all the info I can get from folks like you in order to be a better judge of the items I encounter...
Hey, quit pickin' on us skinny guys, ya' big bully!lollol

Seriously, though, lostinperiphery; you've got style and some fine tuning would really bring it the rest of the way. Keep posting. You'll get good constructive feedback around here...
A little 'wild' for some of you, but these '50s era Goding boots are actually quite the score. These come in at about 9-1/2D and have all their original-ness. I've seen smaller pairs with half-soles go for pretty big bucks at times.
