Hi
I really don't think you can go wrong with Aero's 1930's Half Belt, especially as you are having a bespoke jacket.I have this one which has a single point yoke-I don't know if it can be supplied with a plain back though. This is in heavy steer, possibly close to your choice of colour.A very...
Apologies-That probably sounded a bit pompous. One big advantage of traditional boot design is that you can have them readily repaired and can expect a lot of life from them.
Just looking at the advice about hanging jackets on Aero's site.Presumably once a jacket has creased it will stay creased.I have now laid mine on the floor.
I wear mine a lot.I like the dip to the front of the jacket and a contrast develops along the seams on the back panels which is attractive. Some I have seen have gussets along the vertical back seams but mine doesn't have these.
I kinda like the existing site though. You can be minding your own business and suddenly there's a 30's HB in stunning cordovan in the Blue Label range that sends you scurrying for a tape-measure!
I have just tried some soap from the Isle of Harris which works very well as a shampoo so should be fine for a wool lining.Smells fantastic too.A natural fit if you have a Harris tweed lining.
Just thought I would post this.Never seen one like it.Too small for me sadly.
