Warm day today and probably the only good weather day to see the cherry blossoms, so back to the old Borsalino. I have no idea what kind of felt this thing is - I suppose they used a range of felts just as the big American hatters did - but it's a great warm-weather hat. Amazingly light.- Guardian Enzo

Except on Etsy she lists it as Daquino, which I think adds to the confusion. Ginseng, looks lovely - what kind of specs did you give Luisa? The only thing I could say that's a negative is that I wish she used some sort of plastic or oilskin in the liner, as the ink on the logo is starting to...- Guardian Enzo

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?
Today is the late-model (I'm guessing 80's, maybe early 90's) Stetson Open Road, at Fushimi Inari and the Toji Market (biggest folk market in Japan). I like the look on this hat, but boy - when comparing it against my vintage fedoras and the Daquino it's amazing how much stiffer the felt is.- Guardian Enzo

Back to the Daquino today for a trip to Nara, posing among other things with the Daibutsu inside the largest wooden building in the world (though only 2/3 the size it was before it burned down and was rebuilt in the 17th Century) at Todaiji.
